Futuresonic is...

Futuresonic was established in 1995 with the agenda of exploring cutting edge developments in electronic music and digital media. Since its first major festival in 1996 we have gone on to present events in worldwide locations, including,
South Africa, Venezuela, India, Trinidad and San Francisco.

The 2004 festival is by far the biggest and most ambitious to date and features a diverse 50/50 mix of music and media art. Mobile Connections events focus on wireless and mobile media, whilst the Turntable Re:mix club and music events celebrate 25 years of the Technics 1200MK2 record deck. Futuresonic is delighted to also offer a city wide programme of affiliated club events, including Tribal Gathering and a series of live electronic music events. May 1st sees a free music stage in Exchange Square, with Dizzee Rascal stablemate Wiley headlining.

Ten events are free and tickets are available individually. But if you are planning to make the most of Futuresonic<04>, we recommend you buy a festival pass, which at £40 (£32.50 concs) will save you £52.50 if you go to all events.

Next on the horizon is the 10th anniversary of the Futuresonic festival. We hope to see you there.
