Night & Day
A trip back to the dawn of cinematography, with a selection of silent films accompanied only by improvised jazz violin, electro-acoustic artists and harmonizing vocals. Here improvised soundtracks and original films communicate colour, shape, rhythm and movement in the same direct way. The aim of the event is to present a different and more open context for artists and film makers to show their work and for musicians to challenge their practice by playing as part of a live collaboration. Presented by jazz violinist, Graham Clark, the Hotsnack collective, electro-acoustic collective, Chora, filmmakers Rebecca Lennon, Paul Huxley and Kate Burton, and artists’ collective, Third Angel.
