Venue unknown
The 5th birthday of Manchester's best-kept clubbing secret, with residents Mark Haran, Franci Wooff plus special live guests. Visit thatamazingthing.com, Piccadilly Records, Polar Bar (Chorlton) or 'ask around' at Futuresonic 2005 to find the hidden venue. After finding regular scheduling and operating on a commercial basis led toward compromises, the night's current form came into being - a range of formats as diverse as the music played and the people who go. Abandoning safety for freshness and spontaneity That Amazing Thing! takes place in hidden underground spaces around Manchester and other odd surroundings: from boats to micro festivals in the countryside and village halls. These parties have free admission where possible, news of them is spread via word of mouth, through personal invites, or online. Their aim is to have fun whilst bringing cutting edge music to the dance-floor - from techno to hip hop, afrobeat to soul music, classics to 2 step future sounds, everything goes.
