Stepladder

FutureEverything and Futuresonic provide a platform for people like you to create, perform and inspire.

This area of the website highlights some of the pathways which exist to develop your artistic, technological or social practice: FuturesFamily, EVNTS, Learning, Open Calls.

FuturesFamily

2009 will see the launch of FuturesFamily.  FuturesFamily is a new Artists in Residence initiative established to nurture artists at the very cutting edge of art, music and ideas. Our family have been hand selected for their innovation and experimentation, driving forward our ethos to challenge and inspire. Denis Jones is our inaugural family member.

EVNTS Community

Since its introduction in 2005, EVNTS has grown into a community of people who each year return to give the festival an extra edge. People who participated in the EVNTS festival strand told us that they wanted to meet regularly outside of the festival. Since then we have staged occasional social and networking events. These are open gatherings where we invite people who have participated in EVNTS over the past five years, or who would like to participate in the future, to join us for some food and drinks. These events are a chance for people to meet, spark new ideas, and collaborate. EVNTS has been going for 5 years now, but it still feels like just the start of something special!

The next EVNTS meeting is on Wednesday 11th March. Find out how to take part in Futuresonic 2009 and participate in a project FutureEverything is running exploring how social technologies can improve the experience of people at events. Click here for more information.

Open Calls

Each year Futuresonic and FutureEverything run open calls for submissions of artworks and projects to be presented at the Futuresonic festival and Social Technologies Summit.

We regret that the deadlines have passed and all calls for submissions for 2009 are now closed.
