Single Cell Collective curate Guerrilla Busking, a series of urban musical interventions taking place around Manchester city centre. Take a trip through public / private spaces, experiencing unique performances and collaborations from Manchester-based and refugee community artists. Supported by Refugee Action and documented by People's Voice Media, the event will raise awareness of destitute, street homeless refugees in Manchester.
Single Cell is ever morphing; the discrete musical monster that is, not so quietly, transforming Manchester's live music scene. A collective of artists and musicians based in Manchester, including folk troubadours You and Boo, the ten-piece heavy-groove orchestra the Caulbearers and magic realist, magpie pop band Brocken Bow. Previous projects have seen members collaborate with local campaigns and social justice groups. In February 2009, Single Cell released their acclaimed debut compilation album, Six Rivers.
