The Ecobutton is a USB device that attaches to a personal computer and sits on the desk of computer users. The Ecobutton is designed to encourage users to press it when they leave their computer. Once pressed, the Ecobutton puts the computer into a power saving mode to ensure the computer is using the least amount of power possible. Accompanying software displays the number of carbon units and money saved by using the device.
