Ackroyd & Harvey in conversation with James Marriott
Radical German artist Joseph Beuys and his 7000 Oaks artwork form the basis for this exchange between artists Ackroyd & Harvey and James Marriott of PLATFORM.
In 2007, Ackroyd & Harvey germinated over 200 acorns collected from trees grown as part of Beuys' artwork in Kassel and in doing so began a new long term project being presented for the first time at Futuresonic. With James Marriott's own experiences of Beuys' work to draw from, together they will explore what Beuys' legacy to ‘change the social order' means at the beginning of the 21st century.

Ackroyd & Harvey are also presenting an artwork and in conversation event at CUBE. Click here
Biographies
Ackroyd & Harvey
Sculpture, photography, biology and ecology are some of the disciplines that
intersect in Ackroyd & Harvey's work, resulting in time-based acts that
reveal an intrinsic bias towards process and event. They have exhibited
extensively in the UK and internationally, in found spaces of architectural
interest and established galleries and museums.
