Monika Buscher

Monika Buscher has recently been appointed Senior Lecturer in the mobilities.lab at the Sociology Department at Lancaster University, building research and design for new mobilities. Her ethnomethodological, ethnographic studies and methodological innovations contribute to design and a number of research fields, including over 30 peer reviewed articles, an edited book Configuring User-Designer Relations: Interdisciplinary Perspectives, and two further books on 'Ethnographies of diagnostic work' and 'Matereal methods' in preparation. Her work informs mobilities research, ethnomethodology, science and technology studies, participatory design, computer supported cooperative work (CSCW), and pervasive computing. Monika has been workpackage leader and participant in several interdisciplinary EU projects since 1998.
